As
children get older, they often still want to celebrate
their birthday with friends, but they have outgrown party
games, what do you do with them?
Here are a few ideas...If you
have any suggestions that have worked for you please
let us know.
Order takeaway and have
a video night, maybe a sleep over, and a breakfast
in the morning before they go home.
Feed them at home - take them to the
movies,
then onto a café for dessert/ice
cream/drinks afterwards.
Boys generally enjoy
swimming, hiking, and team games, party.
Generally, girls enjoy
getting together playing CD's, dancing, experimenting with
make-up, and hair. Buy glitter spray - coloured spray -
hair clay - and hair accessories. Plenty to eat and drink.
There are plenty of places
you can go to which have organised activities and party
food:
-
Ten pin bowling
-
Roller-skating
-
Ice skating
-
Indoor climbing
If
you are having a party outside, be mindful of a contingency
plan in case
of bad weather.
Whatever the child's age, parties are
an important component in developing social skills as well
as being tremendous fun. The effort you as a parent put
in is often rewarded by the enjoyment your child receives
from a successful party.
